Why does this ALWAYS happen to me? Will someone please explain to me what is so hard about getting highlights in my hair? About 95% of the time when I go get my hair highlighted it turns out horrible. I do a better job myself. I can do the front of my head fine, but my whole head needed to be done and I don't have eyes in the back of my head. I went to JC Penney which I thought was safe and explained what I wanted like 20 times because I know the problems I have. Once she washed out my hair and had me sit back in the chair and took the towel off I knew it was horrible right off the bat. I have had this happen so many times and I don't say anything and just go home really mad and spend days fixing it. Well, not that day. I decided to take a stand!! As nicely as I could I told her that it was not at all what I asked her to do. She then tried to tell me that it was. That is when nice went out the window. I told her that something must have been lost in translation...she is...how can I say this without offending...not from the US. I then said that I needed to leave because I was really mad. I walked up to the front fully intending to pay but the girl at the desk heard what was going on and said that I didn't need to and that someone else could fix it for me. I had just spent 2 and half hours there while my kids were being watched by a friend. How on earth was I going to stay another 2 and a half hours...not to mention that my hair would be fried right off my head.
She said the manager would call me and maybe recommend some conditioning treatments. What???? Conditioning Treatments?? What about the mess of color on my head? I was so mad at that point that I just said whatever and left.
That was Thursday. Today, which is MONDAY he called me. He asks me if I would like to come in and have someone redo it. I say yes. I can not live with this color. He then asks me if I want the original lady to do it. Clearly he doesn't quite grasp the situation. No, I tell him...not really.
Now I have an appointment with another lady tomorrow. I have had her before and I know she does a good job. Why I didn't request her to begin with is beyond me.
Now my question is...are they going to make me pay? I didn't pay for the original disaster...but they are fixing it...so does that warrant payment? I am thinking no...but let me know what you think.
Oh..for the description of what I wanted:
An overall blonde with subtle lowlights. A 2 to 1 ratio, blonde being the 2, brown being the 1.
What I got:
An overall red/brassy look with a 2 to 1 ratio...red being the 2 and brassy being the 1. Oh and for a bonus, some WHITE strands which have broken off already...so we don't need to worry about those.
