Oh Yeah...Grandma must have been here.

Grandma came to spend a few days with us.....who else would buy Lee Press on Nails and a harmonica?

And da da da da da...we actually went to Seaworld. She has never been to the one here and we say everytime she comes that we will go, but never do. This time we did and had a great time.

Thanks mom for taking the time to come spend time with us and all that you do for us! We love you and miss you already!

"I lost a tooth!"

Cierra's turn to lose a tooth!!
So, I don't know if you remember, but when the Tooth Fairy visited Dylan, she/he didn't have any dollar bills so she/he left a pile of change. Well she/he was more prepared this time and had a dollar bill. In the morning when Cierra discovered her dollar she said with a pout, "I didn't want this...I wanted a dime or a nickel or something." Nice. The Tooth Fairy can't get it right.

Cierra to the rescue!

The babies are going through a tough stage right now...especially Tyler. It is a trying time for all of us. But....Cierra has a trick!! When Tyler is FREAKING out, she tickles his foot with something and he FREEZES. I love it. It doesn't last long, but any silence is golden right now.

Rock and Roll!

The first graders had a float parade today in honor of Fiesta. Fiesta is a month long celebration here in San Antonio. They actually have a school holiday tomorrow because of Fiesta. Dylan wanted a Rock Band float so the best I could think of was to make it into a guitar. I must say that it turned out pretty cute. At first we had a hard time at getting all the pieces to stay glued together, but it didn't fall apart during the parade and that was our goal. When Dylan walked past the older boys they all cheered really loud for his float. Dylan of course was really embarrassed.

Baseball

Dylan had his first baseball game on Saturday. Ron is his coach so they have a lot of fun.
Dylan was the first to get a base hit and the first to make it home. Their team is called The Indians.

Nice.

I think this picture speaks for itself!

Talk about a let down

So, from about 9 months you look forward to putting your child in nursery on Sundays. They become mobile around then and by 12 months you are begging the nursery leaders to make an exception for your child. Then the glorious 18th month hits and you are so excited! "I can make it through sacrament", you think to yourself knowing that in just an hour you will have relief and can wipe off the snot, crumbs and drool from your Sunday best. On their first official day of nursery you are the first one in there explaining their little quirks and what "uh, uh, uh" means and that they might cry at first but that they will be fine in a few minutes.
Not so, not so. Not only do they cry when you leave the room, but also when you go back in there to give a reassuring hug. They don't even stop when you stay in there with them. Just being in the nursery room is traumatizing. I feel a little crestfallen. I had so looked forward to this time. To be able to sit through a class and hear what the teacher is saying. I do have to admit that the babies are very entertaining, but come on now...it is time for the little men to spread their wings and fly....to nursery.
So, we will try next week and then the next and the next. Until that glorious day they figure out that they will survive...playing with toys, eating snacks and singing songs. What a horrible place to spend a couple hours eh?

Camping

Three little boys ready for the fun

Smore's anyone??

Dylan posing for a sleep picture..unless he was having a really good dream.

Jonah legitimately passed out.

Fishing

The crew

Ron, Dylan and Jonah went camping last night with Will and Hunter Benson. I made Ron promise that he would take pictures of everything just like I would if I was there. He did a pretty good job. From the stories I have been hearing since they got back they definitely had a lot of fun. They did a little fishing this morning, but didn't catch anything. The boys came home as dirty, stinky and tired as I expected.
Cierra and I enjoyed a girl's night at home. We had Sarah, Kailey and Alyssa over for a girly movie..we watched Nancy Drew. Then Cierra and I had a sleepover in my room. For being such a little thing she sure takes up a lot of space in a bed. Oh and she talks in her sleep!!

Soccer is over!!

So today was the last day of soccer. Cierra couldn't be happier. She didn't really enjoy soccer. During games she could typically be found twirling, dancing, doing handstands, or my favorite..walk off the field in the middle of playing because she was tired. I think it is safe to say that she won't be playing next year. Dance classes here we come.
Dylan however, enjoyed soccer very much. He has started baseball so he won't be too upset that soccer season is over. Cierra's team never really had a closing ceremony so I didn't get any pictures, but here are a couple of Dylan's award ceremony.
