Back to the Beach!

For Memorial Day weekend we went with two other families down to Corpus Christi and Port Aransis. It was such a fun weekend. We left early Saturday morning and went to Port Aransis. We spent a good part of the day there and then drove back to Corpus Christi to go to our hotel. Once we got there we went swimming in their swimming pool. Then we got cleaned up and went to dinner and ice cream. We were all sooo tired. I thought for sure the kids would sleep in...WRONG! 7:00 am rolls around and they start popping up one by one. So, off to free breakfast we went.

After breakfast and cleaning up we went to Corpus Christi Beach. It is the beach right by the USS Lexington. It is a man made beach. Yeah, not so nice. Nasty bathrooms and it just stunk. Still fun though. The water was shallow with no wake so the kids could swim easier. Dylan had fun swimming around with his snorkel on and actually found some really cool shells that way. After spending the morning and afternoon there I think we were all ready to go. So, home we are. Not too burnt, but very tired. Oh, and I am sure the kids won't sleep in tomorrow either!
